In Brazil, we operate in business intermediation, buying and selling, as well as in BOLSA BRASILEIRA DE MERCADORIAS.
BROKERAGE
In Brazil, we operate in the commercial intermediation, purchase and sale of both paddy and milled rice, and also with soybeans.
DOMESTIC MARKET
We produce, buy and sell long thin rice and we are specialized in the sale of different varieties such as Oriental, Italian, aromatic and others for gourmet cuisine.
INTERNATIONAL MARKET
We operate in the international market importing and exporting rice and other grains, both in containers and in bulk, in small and large volumes.
In imports, we have a strong presence in all MERCOSUR - Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile mainly, and also work with special varieties from Europe, the United States and Asia.
Expoente is participant of the Brazilian Rice project - a partnership program between Abiarroz - Brazilian Association of the Rice Industry and Apex - Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency that aims at the commercial promotion of Brazilian rice.
BOLSA BRASILEIRA DE MERCADORIAS
We are associetad with BBM – Brazilian Commodities Exchange in a free translation, the largest agribusiness exchange in Brazil. We operate with purchase, sale, option contracts and others.
SERVICES TO THIRD PARTIES
We offer production, processing and packaging services to third parties in their own brand.
PRODUCTION, DRYING AND STORAGE
We have our own production of rice and soybeans, with planted areas in southern Brazil, and we have a drying and storage unit for our production and also for third parties.
WHO WE ARE
Expoente was founded by Director Jair Almeida da Silva, who has extensive experience, starting his activities in the area in 1975 after his graduation in Agronomic Engineering. He worked for 20 years in a market leader private company, in the area of agricultural production, where he came to coordinate the production of 35 thousand hectares of rice, including the production of seeds and cattle raising.
Since 1995 he is also dedicated to the commercial area.
Founded more than 20 years ago, Expoente has rice as its main product.
A family business today has two generations of the family in business management.
Our main office is located in the city of Pelotas, in the southern region of Rio Grande do Sul, the main producing state in Brazil in rice, responsible for 65% of production and where the largest milling industries are located.
